A question to Sam Harris.
As an atheist your views on holy texts are critical and rightly so. So much evil has been launched based on these texts.
Now, what about the existence if Israel? Biblical texts have been quoted givning the Jews the right to the land. If we let ancient holy texts govern our frontiers, there would be chaos on the globe.
The western powers after the second world war sorted out a deal for the Jews so they could have a land of their own. The will of the people living on that land was not considered. If we let the fronteirs be governed by deals by the big powers above the heads of people living on the land, there will be chaos.
How can we reasonably justify the existens av a seperate state for the Jews, as they hadnt any before second world war? How can we solve the Israel-Palestine issue in your view?
